Vintage 1960's Era Steel Tower Double Lock "Leg Irons" Prisoner Transport Shackles (No Keys) :Very cool vintage 1960's era steel Tower double lock "Leg Irons" prisoner transport shackles. The items are in excellent condition for their age. Made completely of steel, they are free of any cracks, chips, or major imperfections. Minor flaws are present from age & use in the form of dirt & staining, as well some areas of darkening & tarnishing of the metal, but they do not take away from this piece at all. The "leg irons" or shackles are made of a very thick almost indestructible steel & features a single strand bar which opens/closes into a steel hollow housing which contains the lock/key components. The 2 leg cuffs are attached together by a 12 link chain which attaches to swivel joints attached on the ends of both pieces allowing limited movement for transporting. Lastly, one of the cuffs is marked which the words "Tower Double Lock." Please Note: the original keys are missing from the set so they are being sold as a display piece only , They are permanently in the closed position & how they are picture is all they will not budge in either direction . Altogether makes for a great gift for collectors. Please see pictures for condition issues.Measurements : (entire piece): 20.5 inches in L. (chain): 12 inches in L. (cuffs): 6.25 inches
