Up for bid is an Extremely RARE vintage PYREX Red 2 quart casserole dish with the HOLIDAY pattern. The casserole measures approximately 10 inches from handle to handle, and 8 3/4 inches wide across the top. It stands 3 1/4 inches tall at the rim. I don't know if the lid was originally sold with the dish, however, it fits. The Casserole has some small scratches on the outside and signs of light utensil wear on the inside common for a piece this old. The Pyrex HOLIDAY pattern is extremely rare, as it was made for only one year in 1961 for a special promotion, and was available only on the 2 quart round bottom casserole (Pyrex item 024). It consists of a bright red base color with a white enamel pattern of pine cones and branches on both front and back. Great gift idea for a Pyrex collector. The bottom of the casserole is marked: 024 2QT.TRADE MARK2 PYREX (R)MADE IN U.S.A.OVENWARE There are no chips, cracks or repairs on the lid or casserole. A very nice piece to add to your collection.
