Hello and thanks for looking. Up for auction here we have a 1962 Lionel Postwar Horse Transport Car #6473 in C7 exellent to C-8 like new condition. No box. Original family owner. It has been stored well packaged in A/C and smoke free home. I hate to part with these items now but I am trying to raise money to purchase musical equipment for my grandson. Email me with any questions you have and I will try to answer them as best and timely as I can. ! History The 6473 Horse Transport Car is also known as the Rodeo Car. A pair of horse heads protrude from each side of the car. The motion of this stock car traveling on the rails creates the illusion of the "bobbing horse heads." This is an easy item to locate as it was included in many sets offered by Lionel in the early and mid-1960s. Features The 6473 contains the following features: unpainted yellow body with red or maroon lettering, AAR trucks plus a total of four horse heads -- two white and two brown. For the first few years of production the car was equipped with two operating couplers. Sometime around 1963, one operating and one fixed coupler became the norm.
