If you have any questions or would like to make an offer please contact me and I will provide my personal email and phone number./albums/u66/mrgibson01/1963%20Fender%20P-Bass/?start=all I bought this bass from the original owner who purchased it new in late 1964 as an original factory candy apple red finish from Kenmore Music, NY. I also contacted Fender regarding the CAR and the stamped number 8 and they said it indicated it was also a factory finish and the CAR made with tool marks was normal as was a single stamped number. They also said most refinishes would have had the color code stamped and not tooled and there would be more than one number. I was told everything on this bass is original except maybe a couple of the pickguard screws. The case is also the original case that came with the bass when purchased new. I was also told by the original owner this bass had a clear plastic body guard on it at one time. It also has all original electronics including the original pickup, cloth wiring, solder joints and pots are dated 20th week of 1964 (6420). Trade offers are welcomed! I also have an incredible Gibson Les Paul Gary Rosssington Murphy Aged with Display and a 1950 Gibson Southern Jumbo for sale or trade. And, I am looking for a vintage Red, White or (Silver) and Blue vistalite or sparkle drum set.
