1964 GI Joe Action Sailor This is the complete set, most is excellent, some issues with Joe's body sadly. The box is very good, no splits, minor little scuffs & tears to paper as seen in photos, and box bows out a bit. GI Joe's head looks perfect to me, almost unplayed with, excellent color, paint etc. The torso is great, with the chest being a lighter tone. the problem is with the arms, and legs. Right arm is three sections, top two look good, forearm has a split and the hand broke at the wrist but I have the hand. Left arm, all three sections have splits but the hand looks great. Right leg thigh has 1 small split at the top, crotch side, calf is split two places, foot looks good. Left leg is split at the top, crotch side also, calf is split badly where your calf muscle would be, foot looks great. Such a shame he did not fare better. All his gear is here. His pants are excellent, tagged, no soiling, has snaps, His shirt has snaps, tagged, some soiling on right sleeve, two buttons on front. Boots look great, no splits, hat great no splits but seems maybe a little hard? Dog tag excellent, decals are very good have some surface dust type soil, didn't want to touch them. The manual and paper booklet look really good. I hope somebody can patch up this patriot! Happy to answer any questions to insure a satisfactory transaction! Thanks! It has been brought to my attention that what I have is an early example of a 1964 Joe. It's known as a "triple trademarked Joe" to G.I. Joe enthusiasts. The unfortunate deterioration of his body was due to an unstable mix of plasticizers that Hasbro used early on and subsequently corrected as time went by. The triple trademark moniker refers to the number of times " T.M" appears on the face (or ends) of the box. Triple trademarked sailors and pilots are not easily found. I am sure all the G.I. Joe enthusiasts have figured this out by now, but thought it a good idea to add this information anyway. I would like to thank this collector for taking the time to let me know this information and for his refreshing honesty. You are "the good stuff" sir.
