The picture says it all. NEW, never installed, never issued . Read the story below. This is a matched set. TEXAS BLF-80I have several hundred of these remaining. 1965 (some 61's 64's) through 74. These do include motor numbers 396, 400, 427, 440 etc..95% are all matching sets. The story is true. I have dug all these out of an old cow barn feed trough. See pictures. Look for the pointing finger. Thats an entire box of untouched 1965's! Worth 5000.00 plus. is a simalar set of plates,(not a box, a set, 2) not new from the box, going for 200.00+ and still going. Item number: 140139136075Most still protected in the boxes. Most boxes unopened. Some are. But the plates have not been pulled out,I do not have time to deal with them. IM looking for someone to take them all. To give you an idea of their worth, I have sold ( a random few that I pulled out of the dirt without knowing what was still under t just to see if they were worth anything. I cleared 4000.00. I have about 400 left. If you would like to be in the rare license plate business or if you are an antique dealer, classic car restorer or a collector this is your chance to get the big one! I have been in touch with some major collectors and some associations; it appears that this is the largest hoard/treasure find in US history. Never installed. While exploring the Uncles Cow Barn in the Texas Panhandle I found boxes and boxes of all types of plates issued by the state of Texas. He was a county official way back in the 60's and rescued these from the trash and had planned on using them as shingles. YES! 47 years later and they never made it to the roof. Still Boxed. They have minimal rust around the edges, Some are perfect. I have sprayed them with a light machine oil to protect them. What you see in the picture is what you get. Lucky for you! They are the original thing so some have rust around the edges but nothing bad. Some of them are in great shape. The photo is the exact item for auction. What you see is what you get.
