Hello and Good Day. Here is a very special custom trumpet up for bid. I hate to sell it, but I wrecked my car recently and have 3 Bb trumpets. This is the one I am selling to help cover the cost of my car repair. This is a 1967 Bach Stradivarius (serial number 36,826) with a Custom Bach Stradivarius 43 leadpipe...ideal for jazz, chamber or band settings with a quick open response, and a 1950's Raw Brass Vincent Bach Mercedes II bell. This bell is super lively and rich...the trumpet as a whole as a mellow, rich tone due to the 43 leadpipe, and Raw Brass, patina finish. The raw brass is not so pretty because it gets the patina spots, but man, does it sure sound good. The leadpipe gives it a quick response...it really can sizzle, which is rare for such a mellow playing horn. It is very free blowing and the tone is ridiculously smooth. Everyone comments on the warmth and richness of sound and everyone that has played it says high notes pop out so easy. It slots perfectly. It also has a custom rounded tuning slide It was assembled by Russ "Buddy" Burress, who formerly worked and built mouthpieces for Bob Reeves. He specializes in customizing Bach trumpets and is a great jazz player. He sold me this horn and i love it...I thought I would be more of a jazzer, but mostly play classical, these days, so my straight 37 is the only one I need. He also gave the horn a valve alignment and a chemical cleaning. It is ready to go. You will love this horn. It is free of any major dents....it does have a few pings that the camera won't pick up...for a horn this age, it looks fantastic. There are some light scratches around the body, for it is still lacquered...the bell is raw brass and is in great shape. The valves are buttery smooth and never stick or have issues. They are fantastic. All slides move very freely....the 3rd valve slide has a trigger instead of a ring...much easier to use. Overall this horn functions perfectly and has a great tone, with great response. If the raw brass patina look doesn't bother you, you will fall in love with this horn. Please feel free to ask any questions.... I want it to have a good home. Is missing the stop bolt and screws for the 3rd valve slide....doesn't not affect the playability of the horn....comes with custom bach 3cw mouthpiece and no case. Horn will be insured and carefully packaged. Have a great day.
it is the first valve slide, not the third with the trigger...sorry :) typo
