A VINTAGE 1969 GUILD MARK III CLASSIC CLASSICAL GUITAR Yes, a 41 year old guitar in excellent condition. Looks hardly played! And that I do not understand, because it has nice low action (two inch nut width) and the intonation is right on. The tuning machines are chrome with pearl buttons and nylon rollers. Minimum dings, and what t is, you have to hold the guitar to the light to see. NEAR MINT! DOES NOT SHOW ITS AGE , BY A LONG-SHOT! Serial number CC-1443. The Guild Mark III is a 25 3/4 inch scale classical guitar introduced as part of the Mark line by Guild in the early 1960's. What makes the Mark III so much sought after today is the fact that it was constructed with solid Peruvian mahogany on the body's back and sides. This wood, combined with the solid spruce top, creates a rich, warm tone that has improved over the 41 years of it life. This one, built in Westerly, Rhode Island, U.S.A. comes with an alligator skin hardshell case which does show its age with a tear right on the top, but in good shape for it's age. If you are in the market for a vintage, warm sound in a classical guitar, you will not let this one get away. This auction is final.
