It is made of a lovely Teak wood which makes it very sturdy. With the Pristine craftsmanship one would expect from a company that has been around since 1973. Danish modern is a vintage style of minimalist wood furniture originally from Denmark and then manufactured in other countries. Dane Décor was founded by Mrs. Gloria Hamilton and is still in operation today with 3 locations in the Philadelphia area. they were a company that incorporated the popular Danish & Scandinavian styles into its line. Danish modern was popular in the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and 1970's, and has experienced a recent resurgence in popularity. The item itself is in pristine condition. It is to be noted that this is not a refinished table rather it has been restored to its original luster with a special blend of oils.
