Welcome To THE FAMILY ATTIC!
Description:From the early 1970's this vintage playset is entitled "King Arthur's Castle". Made in West Germany by Alles Aus Big Plastic Buffelstark, this enormous playset (which includes 51 castle pieces plus 28 knights and 9 horses) includes the following: all four 19 x 7 light brown interlocking ground pieces (that the castle sits on), the 4 x 13 x 6 inch tall dark brown bridge, the 16 x 16 dark brown floor piece, both 9 x 7-1/2 manor pieces (the front and the back of the main castle house), both 4-1/2 x 11-1/2 manor pieces (the two sides of the main castle house), both 2 x 3 door pieces (that fit inside the main castle house), all four 3-1/2 x 12 large castle-tower pieces, all four 3 x 8 castle-tower pieces (for the tower on the right-hand side of the front entrance), all four 3 x 8 castle-tower pieces (for the tower on the left-hand side of the front entrance, both 9 x 3-1/2 castle wall sides (both wall sides are missing 1 of the 4 connectors), the 10-1/2 x 5-1/2 castle front entrance (the front entrance has damage to 1 of its 4 connectors and 1 of its 6 floor pegs), the 4 x 3-1/2 castle wall piece, the 3-1/2 x 5 castle wall piece, the 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 front castle door (the door is missing one of its hinges), the snap-on gold eagle coat of arms that fits onto the castle door (unbroken), the 4 x 4 drawbridge piece, both 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 trap doors (one door is still in nice shape, but one door has 1 of its 2 latches broken), the 8 x 2-1/2 hidden staircase, the 1-1/2 x 2-1/2 chimney (that fits on the main castle house), the 3 x 3-1/2 water well, the 4 x 4 flag base, both red pyramid-shaped tower steeples, all eight red roof pieces (two of the roof pieces are damaged in one corner), all 8 small white locking clips, 28 silver knights (19 standing and 9 riders), 9 horses and the instructions booklet. From what I can tell from the instructions, I believe the only pieces not included are the flag, the bucket that attaches to the water well, the light bulb piece and the chains for the drawbridge. It looks like someone used dark gray paint on some of the castle pieces and then tried to remove it. All of the knights and horses are still in very nice shape. The box is pretty beat up. Even though this vintage King Arthur's Castle has some flaws, it's so hard to find that it doesn't come up for auction very often, so don't miss out on this large playset. BIG!
