Vintage 1970-1972 Panasonic Model R-72 "Toot-A-Loop" Wrist / Bracelet Transistor Radio A Design Classic! This is the Panasonic Model R-72 "Toot-a-Loop" Wrist/Bracelet Transistor Radio from 1970-1972, Made in Japan. This extraordinary design is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in their Architectural and Design Department. This model is red and made of ABS plastic (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene copolymer) with a high gloss finish. The donut-shape radio which features AM broadcast band only (no FM), operates by twisting the two swiveling halves of the radio, which forms an "S" shape, and the inside of one end reveals the ultra modern looking radio tuner. On the opposite end is a silver plate with the Panasonic emblem and trademark, the model number and other information underneath. The on/off/volume control is on the outer diameter of the radio read more
