This auction is for an original and very hard to find Zippo Lighter dating from 1975. This lighter is from The U.S.S. Kitty Hawk Aircraft Carrier and dates from the end of the Vietnam War. The lighter has a five barrel hinge and is in great shape. The top has come loose from the hinge and only needs to be re-soldered or epoxied back on. Nothing is broken, worn, loose or cracked and is a very common easy repair. This lighter has engraved on the front, the Navy ship, name and then the ships logo. It features great color and detail. This lighter appears to have been lightly used and is in excellent overall condition. T are no dents, no major scratches, no major knicks and the brush stainless is in great original shape with awesome color. It has the original insert and will work with a new flint and fluid. The lighters insert is marked Zippo and the bottom of the Zippo is marked with four slashes on the left side and three on the right side of the Zippo mark. This dates this lighter from 1975. This lighter measures approx. 1 1/2 by 2 1/4 inches and a cool early military Zippo. This Zippo Lighter was found at a recent 85 year estate of along time Navy Officer and was safely stored away for years. Please check out my other auctions for other rare Zippo Lighters from the same estate. Including other military related Zippos. These all are from the original owners estate and were safely stored away for years. Good luck on this very hard to find lighter and feel free to email me with any questions. The reflection is from the light in the room and NOT on the actual surface. The actual color is in very nice shape. I will combine shipping on multiple wins.
