Vintage 1977 S.D. Curlee bass guitar Standard 1 model with brass humbucker Truss rod nut is bent sideways a bit, extra hole drilled through bridge and screw added (done for more secure mounting. Strap buttons changed. Non original case AFTER CAREFUL INSPECTION, THOUGH THE BASS PLAYS WELL, VIEWING DOWN THE NECK FROM THE HEADSTOCK ONE CAN NOICE A SLIGHT TWIST IF THE HEADSTOCK. THE CLOSER TO THE HEADSTOCK YOU VIEW THE NECK THE MORE IT APPEARS TWISTED. FURTHER DOWN THE NECK IT APPEARS STRAIGHT. Certainly this may be related to the uncentered trust rod or just an unfortunate wood warping. In any case buyer beware the bass has some neck issues. The bass is playable and sounds awesome. Anything can be fixed but bass is sold "AS IS" This is a Super rare first series version of this amazing bass. Very very very rare version with brass Gibson style pickup. These are very few and far between and this one is worth the effort to restore to proper order. A wonderful and very unique instrument from an era long gone by. Serial number 651 Local pickup and inspection welcome in downtown Los Angeles. NO RETURNS FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER. SOLD "AS IS" . $75 flat rate for boxing and shipping to any USA location.
