This is an Auction for a Rare Vintage 1980's Houston Astros Team Issued Medalist Cardigan Sweater Size: LargeAmazing authentic cardigan sweater / jacket acquired directly from longtime Houston Astros Equipment Manager Dennis Liborio. Liboria served as the Astros Equipment Manager from November 1979 until he retired 30+ years later. He was responsible for handing out uniforms and equipment to the players.This 100% Acrylic Cardigan sweater was issued to the players and other members of the Astros' organization. As the tag reads, this sweater was Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the National League Houston Astros by Medalist of Berlin, WI U.S.AThe sweater is an Adult Size Large and extremely well made . The heavy duty white Astros lettering has a nice sheen is beautifully hand-stitched onto the sweater. There are 7 metal snap buttons running vertically down the front of the sweater. The colors of the buttons correspond with the color of the fabric they are on (blue, red, yellow). This sweater features the bright, classic colors of the 1980's Astros (Blue, Red, Orange, Yellow). I was told that this piece dates to 1985. It's in excellent condition, but could benefit from being dry cleaned as it has a few wrinkles from being stored away for nearly 30 years.With Fall arriving and Winter around the corner, this would make the perfect
