I purchased this glove in the mid 1980's, I quit playing soft ball in 1986 so it was prior to that. Its been inside a box in my closet since then. The leather is still supple and all lacing is original and pliable, absolutely no leather cracking anywhere! I only used this glove for a very short time and is still in very very good shape. As you can see from the pocket picture it is a little dirty. And on the "Nylon Stitched FW" picture there are my initials (rdp) on the outside just below the pocket and also my name (Rick Partlow) along the outside of the thumb, both are faint but still very readable. I don't want to clean the pocket or try and remove my name in fear of damaging anything, I'll let the buyer decide to take care of those issues as needed. From my research the FW stands for F=1984 and W=April. From what I've been told this glove was one of the last of the A3000 gloves made in the USA, afterwards I've seen other A3000 gloves made in Canada and Vietnam. This was the glove to have in the day!
