1985 Genuine Nun Doll Maryknoll Sisters The Genuine Nun Doll Collection authentically represents the traditional dress of religious women in the church throughout the centuries - it's like going back in time. These meticulously detailed dolls are a must for collectors. The Genuine Nun Doll Company of St Joseph, Michigan, took great care in the creation of each high-quality, hand made, 18 inch vinyl doll. From miniature patterns, a small group of skilled tailors and seamstresses carefully traced and cut authentic fabrics by hand. Others spun the wheels of half-century old machines that gather and fold starched linen into tiny, yet perfect pleats. Mother Mary joseph of Boston, Massachusetts, founded this foreign missionary society at Maryknoll, New York, in 1912. Their purpose is in all types of mission work, both home and abroad. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ This doll is used but she is in MINT condition with her original arm tag. She has never been on display and has no shelf wear whatsoever. She will be carefully packaged and shipped by Priority Mail with insurance and a tracking number.
