Intended to be a collectors item. I would also use caution when tightening the battery compartment screw, as if it's too tight, it could cause additional stripping. PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION OF THIS TOY. This toy has been tested to ensure that it still lights up, however, after so many years of being untouched, the battery compartment screw was super stuck. With a tad bit of oil, I was able to open it. The screw still works, despite looking a bit beat up. But because of that, I would advise against tightening it too much, so that it doesn't get stuck again or ruined. By pressing the steeple on top, you can turn the lights on! One . A third Most likely due to it's age. This vintage Polly Pocket toy is from when I was little. It was played with, but it's in good, working condition with all of it's parts! UNFORTUNATELY, some paint was scraped off the clock tower outside and there's a black scuff on the very back of it. Also, the brides joint was broken. I remember it happening the day I got it, because a child can only pull off the "removable shirt" so gently... I do think that with some super glue, she could be made to forever stand up straight.
