We have available for auction a nice Vintage Watling Penny Scale in original condition. This scale states " Your Correct Weight Free If You Guess It" on the top mirror along with weight scale for men and women. The scale has two windows at the top of the machine one with a handle that you set to your weight and the other that reads your actual weight. If the two are matched the penny drops back out below in the coin return for you if it did not match up it drops into the cash box inside. The scale appears complete and functions when a penny is inserted and the handle turned but does not always return to zero once done. The scale mechanism most likely needs to be cleaned and lubricated. The finish is good for a machine of it's age with some wear around the base from wear and some scrapes and scuffs from age and a few areas of light rust but overall a good looking machine. The beveled mirror on the bottom door has one crack near the bottom that is tight and the top mirror is in excellent shape with bright graphics but t is some light rust around the bottom edge of the cast steel holder w the mirror meets it. The back and inside of the machine are in good shape and clean as well as is the underneath of the base. The penny slot and handle are marked with a August 8-16 date as well as a July 6-20 date.
