is a nice vintage anvil dated 1846. It looks like the name is GOLDIE or GOLDEN? and 133 Attorny St, New York. Marked 2 0 0 which translates to 224 pounds. The tool shows wear but the ring is nice and the return is awesome, t doesn't seem to be any dead spots either. The overall length is 25 1/2" and it stands 12" tall. The top is 4 1/4" x 16", the table is 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" and the horn is about 7" long. The base is 12" x 12". A great old anvil with plenty of life left for banging or showing. I would prefer local pick-up but will work with winning bidder to arrange shipment, I don't have experience with these heavy tools but we'll work it out. Ask any questions before you bid, THANKS People are asking about cracks, t are these spots at the hardie end that could be casting flaws or maybe from original forging. Like I said, the ring is true and it bounces back nice and I believe it would be dead if t were a crack. Hope this helps. Thanks
