Vintage 1930's-40's JUSTIN? Shorty 'PEEWEE' Cowboy Boots ~ Cactus Flower Inlays! Vintage 1930's~1940's western cowboy boots... 7-1/2" 'peewee' height shafts! Fancy 'cactus flower' inlays, ivory flowers with dark green inlays below. Black cloth pulls all intact. Justin crafted the cactus flower design and many boot companies copied it (Frye for one). The broad tongue and rounded scallop aren't typical Justin, tho...usually associated with Kirkendall. I have seen vintage Justin boots, however, with plain black pulls and the 'Justin' name imprinted inside shaft. These shafts are too worn to tell, no imprint visible, but my guess is they're very early Justin Boots. Great collectible vintage peewees and in fine condition for their age. Chestnut brown calfskin leather with fancy 'cactus flower' cutouts on shafts with inlays in ivory and green, with a center burgundy dot on flowers....a little wear on green inlays (see pics) and one cactus flower on inside back of left boot is missing a small chunk of ivory leather and is cracked thru to inside of shaft. A patch on inside would stabilize it. Ivory beading around collar, in good condition, no peeling, cracking. Exterior leather is in good condition, fairly supple with a little color loss from age and t Normal creasing on vamps and a little crazing to leather (on left boot), no cracks however. read more
