Stunning vintage 1930's rust silk chiffon gown with an opaque slip lining. This has a high neckline, and the butterfly sleeves have slits along their tops for a gorgeous fluttery drape. An empire waist seam has gathering above, for the bust, and it's bias cut and slim over the midriff and hips. T are two seams down the back of the skirt which appears to give this more fullness around the legs. The dress closes up the back with metal hooks and eyes. The slip is attached to the dress at the shoulders, and it is bias cut. Please note that beacause this is bias cut, the measurements given are not of the dress pulled fully taut vertically, so t's an inch or two of "wiggle room". And the vertical measurements were taken when this was hanging - when filled out, this will shorten. Please scroll down for more pictures. Chest: 36 inches Waist: 30 inches Hips: 41 inches Shoulders: na Shoulder to Waist: 14 inches Sleeves: na Length: 51 inches Very good - this is missing its belt and it looks as if the back waist seam was resewn (but it's quite well done and almost impossible to notice).
