WHAT A NEGLECTED ATTIC CAN YIELD!! BEAUTIFUL ALL COTTON QUILT WAS BEGUN IN THE 1920S OR 30S. NEVER FINISHED. SAD, BUT BEAUTIFUL.... I believe this quilt material is from the 1930s, but may be earlier. I have also turned one block over to show the tiny, meticulous hand stitching with which these blocks were lovingly sewn, likely by a Michigan woman from a sweeter time..... The quilt top that was begun, but not finished measures 23" x 80." T are also 4 additional strips for this quilt that measure 2-1/2" x 80" and are ready to be sewn onto the larger section. If sewn on to the larger piece, you would have a quilt top measuring 31" x 80," to use as is or enlarge using vintage fabric included. Also in the dusty trunk were other pieces of material obviously saved for further quilting. Included are stacks of cut pieces (photo) which weigh 13 oz. total. Another lot of scrap fabric, also 100% vintage fabric, weighs 1# 7 oz. More blocks for another quilt were finished and are shown in the photos. T are 41 yellow, black and white blocks, as shown. You won't be disappointed! (PLEASE NOTE: I will soon be listing ALL the costumes for the wonderful 1930s era play, "You Can't Take It With You." Lots for the collector or lover of 1930s era clothing, both vintage and reproduction. Check back soon!)
