Listed is a lovely vintage PlayPal doll,made by Ideal in 1959. This doll stands 32" in height and is marked on the back of her neck Ideal E.L. 32 and Ideal in an oval on her back. The doll was given the name Penny one of Patti's friends and was only made for one year. She is in very nice original condition having exceptionally nice facial finish/coloring, clear eyes with full lashes that open/close easily and full curly blond rooted hair with no missing plugs. She has an extra section of hair,like a side ponytail, that was one of Penny's trademarks. The doll's vinyl body is in very nice condition too, with the classic chubby body design, that was also a trademark of Penny. Her arms are strung, tiny bit loose, and her legs are securely attached. She is not a walker and can stand/pose by herself. Her body finish/coloring is excellent, save one minor (barely breaks the surface)scrape on the left side of her upper back, about 3-4" almost straight line. (check last pic) Penny was purchased from her original owner who told me that she came dressed in the pink coat & matching hat with white nylon gloves.
