This auction is for a gorgeous sterling silver tea set! It appears to be from the art deco period (1930's to 1940's) and has great styling! The set consists of four pieces: the coffee pot ~ 10 3/4" tall the tea pot ~ 9 1/2" tall the creamer ~ 5 7/8" tall the covered sugar bowl ~6 7/8" tall All pieces have a round footed base and a monogram, "F" as shown in the photo. The pieces are not weighted, it is all sterling silver and the set weighs approximately four pounds of sterling silver! The set is marked P.S. CO. which I believe stands for Poole Silver Company. I may be wrong, so if you have more information about the origin of this set, please write and let me know! The bottom stamp is shown for your inspection along with photos of the set and the individual pieces. The set is in remarkable condition. The piece are bright and shiny -- in very good condition. The underside of the base of the creamer and the coffee pot have some black spots, but none anyw else! The backside of the sugar bowl and the coffee pot each have a small ding in the silver. Otherwise, the set is wonderful! The handles have what look like bakelite dividers to keep the handles cool to the touch. The set looks like it has been well cared for over the years! The set is being offered with no reserve! And a very low minimum! Payment with a money order or read more
