That's why there's a real chance you could pick up something valuable for very little! I put them up on eBay at a low price and 'let the market decide'. Sometimes I win, sometimes I definitely lose. But I avoid paying the extortionate valuation costs and the ridiculous commissions and fee to auctioneers and agents. Stick in a bid…You could be lucky! A Military� Item Gentleman's Wardrobe Sale of Vintage and Bespoke Jackets and Suits (See MY SHOP for more) This item is part of a Mansion Sale (see below) of items being sold over the next month or so. More items are posted every day. All suits, jackets and shoes are approsimately the same size, as they're all from one 'Gentleman's Wardrobe' of bespoke, vintage or designer items. If you happen to be between 38-42inch chest size, 32-3 4inch waist size or 8.5-10 shoe size (UK), then you're in luck! PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO 'PINNING' IN PICTURES (see note). Also note that there hasn't been time to dry clean or iron items, so they will improve from the pics with a little care! Sizing Note PLEASE MAKE ALLOWANCES as model is slightly larger than me at 6ft 2 inches tall with a 41.5 inch chest, very long 25.5 inch arms (seam to wrist), 33 inch waist, 33 inch inside leg. Also note that these pics were taken at an oddly LOW point, making the waiste look bigger than the shoulders, which isn't actually the case of course but don't have time to retake them! Pinning Note There's ABSOLUTELY NO PINNING here (most suit/jacket sellers use Tailor's Dummies to pin in the waist TO GIVE THE APPEARANCE of a tailored fit that DOESN'T REALLY EXIST). The tailored appearance pictured here is EXACTLY AS IT WILL BE WHEN IT ARRIVES! This Jacket Approximate Size: 40 Sleeve Length (seem to end of cuff in inches): 25 Jacket Length (Collar Seem to bottom at back in inches): 32 Chest Size (approx distance under arms x2 in inches): 40 Waist Size (width of belt x2 in inches): Colour: Green/Khaki Description This is a World War 2 British Royal Artillery Officer's Jacket! In remarkable condition, considering its been through the wars (sorry, couldn't resist). IT'S INCREDIBLY RARE to find one in a modern 'Large' size, 40" Chest! In those days, the only people who were 6' tall with a 40" chest were Icelandic Women. The trousers are much easier to come by, as are the Sam Browne and rank insignia, giving you a spectacular outfit for any fancy dress party! (Although, treat it with respect; it's deserves some special treatment). There are various moth holes here and these, as would be expected of something 80 years old! One of the buttons has also come loose, but is readily sewn back on. Study the pictures for an idea of condition. The overall impression is - however - extremely impressive! I'm afraid the Sam Brown Belt and the ribbons aren't part of the sale (but are readily acquired elsewhere for little…happy to help with some links). It's a spectacular and rare, large-size example of a British World War II Army Officer's Uniform! Grab it before the millitary collector's see it! !
