**REVISED: I have not been able to find shipping under $100 and up for this, so I am changing it to Pick Up Only. I am willing to ship it, but need more time to find a cheaper way. The head isn't so big, but the box I need will have to be at approx. 24" x 30" x 32", and the ebay calculator is saying that is too big to ship usps and UPS, so it won't calculate. So I am at a loss at this point.

This is the ultimate collectible for the Dog n Suds or advertising fan! I am selling this for a retired owner of the restaurant that is famous for the hot dog "drive-in" style fun w the carhop delivers your food to your car (see below). This is one of about 50 of these costumes that were made back in 1953 to 1964. It was used to travel around to advertise the restaurant and visit with the kids. We do not have the costume...only the mask head.

"Rover" the dog is made of a heavy rubber and measures approx. 20" tall x 25" front to back x 15" wide. It is hollow and has open eyes. It is pretty dusty and a bit dirty. It has paint loss and t, and t is quite a bit of paint chipping off, especially on the hat, so care will need to be taken when cleaning it.

The rubber is getting hard and brittle due to age, so t are cracks on the ears. Also, due to storage, the weight of the head has made the front chest area settle or collapse under the nose. Hopefully someone knows of a product they can use to soften it up. It would be a great restore project, or is still a very neat display item.

Please note: I cannot send this item out until the Monday after the Friday end date. Once it sells, I want to find the right box and packing to insure it stays safe. Pick up in Lafayette, Indiana IN would be more than welcome. I can also deliver within 65 miles for a fee. I can also send it Federal Express and can get a price if anyone is interested in that shipping company. The box will be huge, so I will definitely want to require insurance. Also, due to size, I will only ship to the United States.
