This auction is for a beautiful vintage drapery fabric panel/yardage from the 50s. This is a "Bonded Waverly" fabric, called "Carthage" a pattern straight out of the beginning of the incomparably cool 50s Eames era...fabulous Geometric/Abstract pattern in monochromatic rich shades of Chocolate/Mocha/Cocoa browns, light Olive green, along with Cream and a fabulous dark rich Metallic gold shade; another great feature of this vintage fabric is that at each Selvedge side the pattern is Wavy, creating a great border too! This is one of those fabrics for those who have a textile compulsion...you can't help but love the feel and texture of this beautiful blend of Nubby Silk and Rayon, the perfect blend of fabric for that fabulous draping quality; its in excellent, unused vintage condition and is a very large panel of fabric measuring 42" wide x 82" long. A beautiful vintage drapery for your windows, or lots of yardage/fabric for many beautiful decor projects! This pattern would work well incorporated into many decor styles, I feel; I've listed quite a few vintage Barkcloth drapes/fabric, etc...this week, please check them out!
