VINTAGE 60s 70s MOD INDIE TRADITIONAL HERITAGE COUNTRY CHECKED TWEED JACKET -- 40" CHEST HERITAGE, RETRO, INDIE, GEEK CHIC, MATT SMITH -- Holes in inside lining, please see photos and read Condition very carefully! -- For decades, the classic tweed jacket has been trusted by generations of well-dressed Gentlemen! So if you're a dedicated follower of Retro fashion and you fancy yourself as a bit of a Dandy, then this retro gem might well be your cuppa, mister! Country Heritage Chic is the hottest trend this season! Worn by as disparate celebs, as the geeky-dapper Matt Smith and the fashion-conscious Pete Doherty, even high street shops such as Topman are jumping the tweedy trend with a new Harris tweed collection! So what better way to embrace the classically dapper and timelessly elegant British Landed Gentry look that with this little beauty! It is a fine example of why these checked jackets remain so popular and it is a gorgeous mix of green, brown, orange and pale blue tones for a Rustic, Earthy, Organic vibe! It is well-fitting and it features three pockets on the front, as well as two additional inner pockets. It fastens at the front with three buttons for a great 1960s Mod-inspired look and two matching buttons finish each cuff. It is fully lined and there are two 10" back vent to allow for movement but it still has that desirable Indie slim fit . As you can see from the photographs, it looks wonderful worn with a crisp white shirt, a cravat and a waistcoat for a Traditional Tailored Gentleman look . Add a flat cap and Hunter Wellington boots for a ensemble that's ideal for any Country pursuits! You'll feel like the Lord of the Manor! It also looks amazing worn with slim leg trousers and chelsea boots for a cool 60s Retro Mod Indie look! Or why not wear it with skinny jeans, a leather satchel and thick-brimmed glasses for a contemporary Preppy Art School Geek Chic look! Looking Nerdy has never been cooler! MEASUREMENTS: CHEST 42" (to fit a man whose chest measures 40" in my estimation) WAIST 39" LENGTH 30" (under collar to hem) SHOULDER TO SHOULDER 17.5" SLEEVE LENGTH 25" The measurements stated above are of the actual item and to allow for movement etc, your own measurements should ideally be somewhat smaller. For the best fit compare the measurements with a similar garment that suits you well, and please refer to the measurements. The jacket is not labelled with a size and I estimate that it could fit a modern size 40" chest; however please refer to all the measurements stated above. CONDITION The jacket is in good second hand vintage condition with light general wear. The inside lining is particularly worn with several holes (please see last three photos) and may need to be replaced before use. Please note that the price of the garment has been adjusted to reflect these faults. The garment will need cleaned as it has been stored away for a good length of time.
