Large Finel Enamel Covered Steel Bowl Arabia of Finland 1960's, Vintage, Eames Era, Collectible Condition: Excellent, gently used 5 12 inches tall, 8 1/2 inches in diameter at the top rim, these stunning enamel salad serving bowls were made by Arabia of Finland in the 1960's and became an instant hit in America. Of all the various designs, the Mushrooms was the most popular. The hot item way back then is highly collectible now, 30 years later. It is likely the bright white of the enamel shows off the reds, yellows, and greens of the salad the best. And the black line drawings of the mushrooms are such a work of art, you can stare at them for several minutes, get lost in them. So it is very pretty. You can find matching individual salad bowls, and ceramic canisters and cheese boards in the mushroom pattern as well.. if you are lucky. Condition: This bowl has a few tiny nibbles on the rim (they all do, if they've been used). It has no chips or dings or dents. It's very white, super shiny, and has no scratches. T are some gray line scuffs on the inside bottom, and a couple of barely visible gray scuff lines outside. In super shape, considering its age.I apologize for my photos; I dropped my good Casio camera last week, and had to send it in for repairs. This loaner camera takes very poor pictures, I realize that.. darn! Please click read more
