Lot of (24) Vintage 1959 - 1972 Dell/ Gold Key The Three Stooges .12-15 cent Comic books. T are NO duplicates and all issues are complete with NO pulled staples, Clipped coupons or torn, marked up pages unless otherwise specified. Some issues of course are better than others as Camera has a way of making comics look mint but that is not the case. T are a couple which are investment/ HI-grade quality with several "reader" copies and the rest in Mid-Grade range. I used 2006 Overstreet for grading purposes and went through each comic individually. The following Books are included in lot: # 1). Dell Issue # 1043 (10/59) VG+ 5.0- an above average copy but used comic book. # 2). Dell Issue # 8 (3/62) Fair 2.0 -surface wear, pen mark "5" on cover and two 1" tears on bottom middle of cover as well # 3). Gold Key Issue # 14 (10/63) VF+ 8.0-clean flat copy with only very light spine wear on a couple of spots. Excellent reflectivity. # 4). Issue # 16 (3/64) Fine 6.0- light surface wear, two small pen dots lower right corner of cover. # 5). Issue # 25 (9/65) Fair 2.0- heavily worn copy. # 6). Issue # 29 (7/66) Fine 6.0- Crease on right lower edge of cover. # 7). Issue # 30 (9/66) Good 3.5- surface wear present, creasing. # 8). Issue # 31 (11/66) Good 4.0- stress marks along spine, surface wear. # 9). Issue # 32 (1/67) VG 4.0- average used comic, stress marks along spine. # 10). Issue # 34 (5/67) Good 4.0 average used comic, light stress marks along spine, creasing on back cover. # 11). Issue # 36 (9/67) Fine 5.5- Smudge on lower left bottom corner. # 12). Issue # 38 (3/68) Good 3.0- surface wear, creasing. # 13). Issue # 40 (9/68) VG 5.0- light stress marks along spine, general surface wear. # 14). Issue # 41 (12/68) Fine+ 6.0- Above average copy, light stress marks on spine present. #15). Issue # 42 (3/69) Fine+ 6.0- Above average copy, small pen mark top left corner along edge. # 16). Issue # 45 (12/69) Fair 2.0-heavily worn copy. #17) Issue # 46 (3/70) Fine 5.5 -light accumulation of stress marks, webbing along spine. # 18). Issue # 47 (3/70) Fine 5.0- Grease pen mark middle left of cover, light surface wear present. # 19). Issue # 48 (9/70) Fine 5.0-stress marks along spine. # 20). Issue # 49 (12/70) Fair 3.0-heavily worn copy. # 21). Issue # 50 (3/71) Good 4.0-crease running length of cover on left side, stress marks along spine. # 22). Issue # 51 (6/71) Fair 3.0-worn copy-creasing. #23). Issue # 53 (12/71) Fine+ 6.0-light stress marks. # 24). Issue # 55 (2/69) VG+ 5.0- light spine wear, partial mailing label attached top left corner. All comics lay flat and part of same collection of comics I recently uncovered. Check out other auctions for Flintstones/ Jetsons runs as comics stored in sleeves since 1980's according to owner. Several copies have perfectly White pages with no serious discoloration, staining, brittleness or musti-ness (odor). I did not find any rusted staples or worm holes in/on any of these books and colors exhibit excellent reflectivity with no fading. Alot of great ads in comics as Vintage cereal ads, SSP, Hot Wheels, Matchbox featured. Recap: Issues # 1043, 8, 14, 16, 25, 29, 30, 31, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 41, 42, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 53 & 55 = (24) comics. You may be more of an authority regarding Vintage Three Stooges Comic Books than me as I'm by no means an expert on everything (...A fact my wife would probably happily confirm).
