Very stylish mid century Italian art glass genie bottle / flask. Most probably produced in Venice in the 1960s. This is free blown in a beautiful pale blue glass, not blown into a mould like the textured examples that seem so popular at the moment even though they are inferior in craftsmanship. The top is also hand blown in a hollow pointed form with a ground stopper. Increasingly rare. Looks great as a modernist, colour statement piece. CONDITION: Excellent, no chips, cracks or major scratches. Very light dappled clouding only noticeable when held up to the light and not normal ambient situations. SIZE: 48cm high x 13cm diam at base.
