A huge fan of Crown Ducal's blue chintz pattern, discontinued in the 1920's, I was fascinated by this dark blue chintz design from the same era. While the standard blue chintz is hard to find (even has virtually none), I believe this version is even more scarce. This particular bowl measures 8" inches in diameter by 3 1/4 inches deep --- it's a nice serving size, or large enough for fruit. In respect to condition, it's awfully nice, and I would've described it as perfect until I inspected it very, very carefully for the listing. In the interior t are a few little scuffs that may be glaze skips, but are more likely wear. T are also some little white flecks in the black edging. They really don't detract as you can see in the photo enlargements, and I think the outside is perfect. If I may answer any questions, please don't hesitate to e-mail. This is an unusual piece, and a real eye-cather --- the latter being the reason it's on eBay. Everyone that comes into my shop immediately gravitates to the bowl and has to pick it up . . . so, since I have almost no safe place for china and glass, I'd like it to find a new home while it's still in excellent condition and not damaged from handling.
