Vintage 80s Long Black Satin Velour Prom Dress Gown XXL QUICK SUMMARY Size: 2X, see measurements below Brand: Roaman's Material: Velour bodice is a stretchy polyester/nylon blend, satin skirt is 100% acetate Color: Black Sleeve Style: Short sleeves Closures: Zipper down the back, button at the back of the neck DETAILED DESCRIPTION This is a fun vintage prom gown from the 1980s made by Roaman's, a plus size designer. The bodice of the dress is made out of a black velour that has a little bit of stretch to it. It is a blend of 85% polyester and 15% nylon. The dress has a drop waist that is trimmed in sequins, beads and lace applique. The skirt of the dress flares out dramatically. It is made out of a 100% acetate satin. The dress has a cut out design at the top of the back. It closes with a button at the back of the neck, and there is a zipper below the cut out design. The tag labels this a size A6, which I believe it the equivalent of a modern size 2X. The actual measurements are as follows: Bust: 23-24.5" across, underarm to underarm (46-49" around )Shoulders: 17" across, seam to seam Natural Waist: 21-22.5" across (42-45" around, measured at the narrowest part of the bodice) Drop Waist/Hips : 25.5" across (51" around, measured at the seam between the bodice and the skirt. NO STRETCH.) Length: 46" from the sho Note: Even though there is some stretch to the material of the bodice, please leave yourself room for comfort of movement. All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The first measurement is with the item laying flat and unstretched, and the second is at the max comfortable stretch point. The flat measurements were doubled to give an approximate measurement around. Condition: This dress is in VERY GOOD condition for its age. However, I did notice that the satin part of the dress has some minor fading, giving it a very faint reddish hue in places (see last picture). I only noticed this under very bright light, so I don't think it will be noticeable when the dress is worn. Please feel free to ask any questions about this item before bidding.
