Vintage 80's Victor Costa Party Prom Dress Gown Description This is a fantastic Victor Costa electric blue party prom dress. Accented with outrageous gold lace detailing with blue bows and flowers. Two layers of crinoline underneath make this dress both fun and flirty. Items are sold as found, may need cleaning or pressing. Email for any questions... Approx measurements lying flat: chest: 16" waist: 14" hips: 18" length: 33" Costa sold sketches to Ceil Chapman and Oleg Cassini among others before getting starting in bridal design. He joined Suzy Perette in 1965, w he went to Paris and selected models to copy. He left Perette in 1973 and returned to Texas. T he bought a share of Ann Murray, and was able to buy out and rename the company in 1974. He produces his own versions of American and French designer clothes in an affordable range, primarily evening wear. His clothes are bright and bold - often patterned or with high contrast.
