This absolutely gorgeous scenic charm bracelet features six individual hand-painted picture-postcard views reminiscent of the warm sunshine, blue skies, and crystal-clear waters of the French Riviera on France's southeastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea, and I believe that is what they are meant to depict. Running west through such exotic locales as Monaco, Nice, Antibes, Cannes, Saint-Tropez, and Toulan, the French Riviera is one of the world's most famous resort areas and I believe this bracelet depicts scenes from along the Blue Coast. The bracelet dates to circa 1960, when Brigitte Bardot reigned supreme on this summer playground of movie stars. It measures 7 1/4" in wearable length, and each plaque is approximately 7/8" x 1/2", with a slight curve to fit around your wrist comfortably. The scenes are painstaking handpainted (be sure to supersize the pics below to better view the detail) and in EXCELLENT condition, with no chips, cracks, scratches, fleabites or other loss to the hard enamel, and the reverse is plain, smooth silver with years of warm patina. The bracelet is signed 835 for Continental silver. Its sturdy c-spring clasp takes a bit of a nudge to line up properly, but holds securely once closed. Please view my other items .
