Beautiful Vintage 9ct Gold Front and Back Locket Up for sale we have this beautiful vintage 9ct gold front and back locket.The locket has a lovely design of two swallows in flight and a flower/leaf design underneath, with the flower and leaf design also on the back. Years ago sailors gave swallow jewellery to their love as a promise that they would return and always come home, beacause swallows never wondered too far from home and always came back.This is quite a delicate piece and closes too, with a strong hinge but doesnt Only opens when pulled apart though.The locket looks slightly dented in a couple of places, this may be due to the thinness of the locket.Unfortunately there are a couple of small hairline cracks on the back of this pendant, which are only small in comparison to the locket. There is a small one at the top and one at the bottom.This would therefor make a great restoration project as it is a lovely locket and too nice to scrap.The locket measures 22mm in length and 17mm wide.The back of the locket is stamped 9ct FRONT & BACK.Please view all photo's to see the locket from all angles.
