A.B.J. Grafton China, Blue Hydrangea pattern, handpainted trim The backstamp reads, "A.B.J. Grafton China Made In England, Hydrangea" and the registration number is 5658 and 5695 which dates these pieces to the 1930s. 5658 has the gold trim and 5695 has the blue trim. The pattern is the same, just the trim is different. This 20 piece set includes: 3 cups (4"W x 3"H) 4 saucers (5.5" in diameter) 4 plates (6.5" square) 1 creamer (5"W x 3.5"H) with gold trim 1 creamer (5"W x 3.5"H) with blue trim 1 sugar bowl (4.75"W) 1 salad bowl 2 cake plates (9.5" square) with gold trim 2 cake plates (9.5" square) with blue trim 1 coffee pot (7.5" in height including the lid and 5.5" in width from handle to spout), has the blue trim and some staining inside due to use over the years. This set is beautiful and would make a great addition to anyone's china collection or if you collect this pattern, this would be a great way to add a lot of pieces. The blue hydrangeas are stunning and very retro. This set could be considered art deco, but I'm not certain. The set is in very good condition. I purchased this set quite a few years ago and had it shipped from the UK back in the days when I was addicted to collecting china - but now it is time for these pieces to find a new home. These pieces have never been used (by me) and have been on display only. read more
