This is a pair, though not a set, of possible WWII issue A.F.H. Co. (American Fork & Hoe Co.) snowshoes. I say possible because they do not have a certificate of authenticity. I am actually selling these for my father who inherited them from my grandfather who fought in WII. Each picture shows any markings that may help determine their authenticity. The sizes are the same, 10x58, though the years are different. It is also interesting that t is a name written in marker on the middle bar w the bindings would go, FRAUENHOLTZ, on one of the shoes. The shoes are marked 1942 and 1943, so I am assuming they are not a set, maybe grandpa had to make a set with what was available. I do not know much more than that information. If anyone knows more about these snowshoes, please send it in a question, and I can post it for other bidders. Thanks for looking, and good luck!!!
