I wish I could convey the color of these amazing antique glass seed beads. They change color depending on the light but seem to be a transparent amber with a coating of iridescent purple. These beads are very beautiful in person and the photos do not do them justice. I've used them to make French beaded flowers and they match the old luster ware coatings on porcelain and ceramic pieces just perfectly. I don't know what the name of this color is but I'd be interested in finding out, if someone out there recognizes it. You will receive one full hank of 10 strands doubled over into a 3" hank. The hank weighs about 8 grams. The beads are various sizes from the faceting but are on average about a standard size 11/0 or about 17 beads per inch.
I am destashing! Cleaning out the bead hoard! Moving the beauties out to other folks who either collect vintage beads or who use them in their work. These are perfect for either purpose as well as for folks who restore beaded purses or beaded lampshades. I'm the part of "Ourbramblepatch" that collects old beads and I've got pounds of them in my collection. It's time to start moving some of them along to other collectors and designers. Thanks very much for checking out our auction!
