Vintage Acme Sewing Mannequin Dress Form and stand adju

This is a 1950s Acmeadjustble dress form, size A, by the (L & M)Ellanam Adjustable Form Co in Brooklyn NY . It is in better condition than most of the ones that I have seen sold on ebay. The outside looks so great because it had one owner. My mother stored it with several covers over it. I remember it in her sewing room, but she never really used it much, so it has not been abused. The approximate measurements for this mannequin areBust- 34"- 40" Waist 24"- 30" Hips 34"- 46" The inner workings of the form are adjustable to fit a variety of shapes and sizes. The torso secures to the metal pole and stand with a key screw, which allows the form to adjust to different heights. The form is covered with the original cotton crochet material, great for pinning and marking, brass neck pieces are slightly rusted. The inner form appears to be backed with cardboard or paper mache for stiffening. A wonderful vintage dress form for the choice clothing designer or vintage lover! This comes from my mother's estate. If you can come pick this up, I have lots of fabric and three sewing machines too. And a room full of cookbooks.
