I'm offering for your bidding pleasure this vintage adult tricycle. It has a geared 3 speed rear hub, marked - ENGLAND - STURMEY ARCHER - A.W. - below that is a no. 66 and a little farther over is a No. 1 below that it says THREE SPEED. This is not a derailer shift, there are gears in the rear hub that you change by a control on the handle bars (it is in good working order), when you want to shift you stop pedaling. On the front fork is a plate marked ROBIN HOOD. I have had this tricycle for 3 or 4 years and rode it occasionally in the summer and never had any problems with it. There are no brakes on the rear wheels, the brake is on the front wheel controlled by a hand lever. It looks to me that the tricycle part may have been a kit that was added to a two wheel bike. I do not know if this was a factory modification or was done by the bicycle owner. The tires are 26" by 13/8 ". I would guess the tricycle is from the late 1960's. Cosmetically, the chrome is tarnished somewhat but still has some shine, (the wheels are pretty nice) the rubber part of the pedals is worn. The seat is in good shape. There are no broken parts. My idea was to restore this trike, but you know how it is, I never got around to it, now I have moved and could use the space.
