Thanks!INTERNATIONAL / HAWAII & ALASKA BUYERS PLEASE NOTE:Sorry, but we will only ship this item within the continental US, via UPS Ground Service.Here are two wonderful cardboard advertising signs intended as store display for Borden's Ice Cream. The sign on the left in our pic shows a large scoop of ice cream atop a slice of apple pie. It measures 17 1/2" wide across the deep turquoise base and 15 1/2" from top to bottom. Printed at the bottom right corner is 'LITHO IN U.S.A.'. As you can see in our pic, the easel stand on the back has never been used, so this must have been in storage since the 1950s or so.The other sign shows a yummy hot fudge sundae; it measures 10 3/4" across the base and 19 1/2" tall. Like the other sign, the easel stand has not been used and the same printing is at the bottom right corner.Condition is near mint. You can see in our first pic that Elsie and her flower 'necklace' are slightly different colors from one piece to the next - not sure whether this is due to fading or if this is how these pieces were originally printed. The apple pie sign has a crease/bend at the bottom right corner that's visible in our photos; there's also a smaller crease at the bottom left corner where the cardboard has separated a bit into layers; and, the top right corner, in the white area of the Borden's sign, is a bit soft as well, but it's intact.Our pix also show an enlargement of what seems to be a small factory flaw on the sundae sign; it is a 4 1/2" long string of glue drops (or something similar) on the cardboard. There is also very minor softness to the corners on this piece, also probably from being in storage for many years since the fold-out leg on the back has never been used.Despite the minor issues noted above, these are two striking and very unusual advertising signs that would be a welcomed addition to any collection.If this description, including the TERMS section below, has left any questions unanswered, we encourage you to eMail us before placing a bid or making a purchase.
