OLD VINTAGE TIN from Pennsylvania Dutch country! "VICTOR BRAND" "STURGIS PRETZEL CO., READING, PA- BAKERS OF HANDMADE PRETZELS SINCE 1861" This is a fabulous and large tin that is in excellent condition for its age. I would approximately guess this to be from the early '50s. The tin is a rich mustard/maize color with the advertising info banding the bottom of the base on a red strip. The top is a classic double-distelfink pattern with stylized tulips and hearts in a very traditional Pa Dutch design. The wonderful art on the top is in red and black on the mustard background. The scenes on the sides are of 3 Amish plain folk and 3 horse-drawn carriages with drivers. The tin measures: 6" tall 10" diameter It would make a fantastic addition to any country kitchen or a great piece to store anything in! The condition, considering its age, is great- a couple of tiny dings on the lid, and minor scattered scratches and scuffing- none of which distracts from the uniqueness and quality of this nice old tin!
