ORIGINAL ANTIQUE ADVERTISING TIN TRAY--BERLIN BANK
For your consideration is an antique-vintage original advertising Xmas, pin or change, tin tray. This is NOT a reproduction, as the condition would make one wonder--It's in great condition and looks like it's new. It doesn't appear to have ever been used. T is a small scratch and a few tiny pin head marks--should be able to see in the pics. T are no dents or bends in this beautiful little tray.
It advertises the "Berlin State Bank" at the top--"We teach your dollars to have more cents" on one side--"3 1/2% On Savings Accounts" on the opposite side and "A Contented Depositor" on the bottom--all print in a gold color. I'm guessing it was given as a premium during the Xmas Season from the Bank.
The tray measures approx. 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" with a brown border around the insert picture. The picture has a Xmas theme with a girl holding packages and greenery on a cream colored background. The signature below the picture is M.E. Musselman and at the bottom of the tray it says "American Art Works-Coshocton, Ohio. The back of the tin tray is black--shows little or no wear on the bottom. T are some little "nips" on the very edge of the tray--barely visible--but can feel. The tin is rolled around the back.
