The Isolette 2 forms part of range of Isolette cameras produced in Germany from the late 1930s. They were were made by Agfa and this model dates from the mid 1950s. It has a neat, folding design with an extending front. It originally used 120 roll film and produced a square 6cm x 6cm image. It is made of metal and the body is covered in a thick, black leatherette. It has some light markings but is in very good condition overall with no rips or tears. The top has a couple of very minor spots around the front and back of the viewfinder where the chrome plating has come away; however, the majority is excellent. With the bellows extended, it measures 14cm x 10cm x 9.5cm. The winding knob moves freely and smoothly. There is a safety feature which disables the shutter release if the winding knob is not first used to advance the film. I've moved through the shutter speeds, from B to 200, and the shutter does fire on every setting. The viewfinder is mounted in the centre. It has no scratches or cracks. It features automatic, opening bellows and a small, silver coloured button on top releases them. This has a nice, springy action and works correctly. The bellows are in very good condition with no rips or tears. The lens board is in good order and the chrome plated braces are in excellent condition with no pitting. It closes tightly read more
