When I originally purchased this pen, it came in a waterman's box as shown in the 4th photo. I have gone to several fountain pen forums and most think that someone just put this Aikin Lambert in the waterman's box. One source said that "Waterman produced some pens that are marked as both an Aikin Lambert and a Waterman product. The pen now for sale shows on the nib 14K A.C. C o USA. On the barrel inscribed it reads "MERCANTILE" AIKIN LAMBERT CO. NEW YORK Made in U.S.A. On the riveted-on clip engraved is ALCO. No engraving on the wide band. The INK bladder on this pen appears to have dried out, and would need replacing. From the source W-B pen & watch "This pen would have been made sometime between 1926 and 1932, when the company was absorbed by L.E. Waterman. Waterman continued to manufacture pens under the Aikin Lambert name for several years
