Vintage Air Force Parka N 3 B Military Jacket 1962 NICE

Offered is an original 1962 USAF military issue cold weather parka in a size large. This jacket features the left shoulder Air Force star and wing logo, the heavy duty nylon twill shade 1511 sage green fabric which is heavier than the later issues. Also the genuine wolf/coyote fur hood was discontinued in the later issues. Having worn one of these parkas in the mid-1960's in Kansas, I can attest to the excellent quality and warmth. The label reads: --Jackets, Flying, Mens, Nylon Twill USAF Shade 1511, Sage Green, Type N 3 B Spec Mil- J-6279F ( USAF) Size Large 8 DSA-1-418-C-62 Southern Athletic Company Inc. Dry Clean Only.-- The zippers are Conmar. Back of parka has 2 flight line reflective tape strips, see dark pic. Condition is excellent, with all zippers, pulls, buttons, snaps, waist cord, hood, in excellent working order. Interior pockets bright and clean, cuffs and wind cuffs pristine, interior lining excellent. T is one faint discoloration just to the 2 o'clock position of middle button, barely noticeable. US logo crisp on left shoulder. T is a faint indication of an Air Command patch, ( MAC, SAC, or TAC) once being sewn to upper right breast, hardly noticeable. This is an extremely clean, fine and crisp example of a vintage military parka, one of the nicest I have seen. USA SALES ONLY !
