DESCRIPTION: Up for your bidding consideration is this vintage and unique tobacco jar and lid by Alfred Dunhill. This jar measures about 6 1/2" tall with lid and the jar opening measures 4" across. This jar is made of pottery with a brown glaze (the brown is a little darker in person than in my picture). This is an orginial Alfred Dunhill piece and I assume was either a give away when you bought products from the company or orginially was sold with a bag of Dunhill tobacco. On the bottom it reads "dunhill" and the inside of the lid reads "alfred dunhill, absorbal-lid" I tried to reseach this piece and came up with very little, maybe it is a rare one. I don't know the exact age of this jar. This was my grandfather's tobacco jar for years but he had stopped smoking for at least 25 years before he passed away. I would guess this jar is from 1950's, but that is just a guess. Over the years I have used this jar as a drip jar, candy jar and in my bathroom to hold extra's. This tobacco jar can be used for just about anything, display, use, add to your collection or give as a gift.

CONDITION : Great condition. T are 2 tiny spots around the rim on the top that I first thought were chips but after closer inspection I think it might be spots w the glaze was missed. This item could use a light cleaning (which you can see in my picture below) that I will leave up to the buyer. No cracks, crazing or other damage.
