For auction:

is an INCREDIBLE Vintage Japanese Secret Puzzle Box. VERY intricate inlaid wood on all 6 sides. Very high quality woodwork with thousands of individual pieces to make scenes like I've never seen before with amazing detail. I believe it takes 12 separate moves to open this box but it could be more.

One side shows a roaring tiger with Mnt. Fuji in the background, the other shows a dragon with eyes and mouth open plus a scene with a home, lake, boats and again Mnt. Fuji. The four remaining sides shows extremely complex geometric designs made with inlaid wood.

I enjoy working with wood myself but this is something that would be way beyond my skills but makes me appreciate the amount of time that it had to take to build this gorgeous box.

It's in very good shape for the age, as would be expected it does show a few minor marks, a couple of small dents in the wood on the edges and some minor wear. Size is 6" x 4" x 2.5" inches.
