This is a really attractive amber/gold coloured glass soda syphon. The glass is etched with the Schweppes trademark with the 'By Appointment' crest. The etching reads 'Schweppes Limited, Porcelain Lined Syphon'. I can't see any actual damage to the glass, no chips or cracks. There are some minor scratches here and there but this is hardly surprising bearing in mind its age. Overall the syphon looks in really good condition. The glass tube is still in place in the centre of the bottle. The top is metal and appears chrome plated and again is in good condition. This part is stamped 'Property of Schweppes Ltd', underneath that is the number '37'. It is also stamped 'Eugsters patent no. 24576 (I think I've read that right!) The top is complete with its small screw-on cap. A very attractive display piece in super condition for its age and I believe that these coloured syphons are much rarer than the clear ones. Its a heavy item and will be carefully wrapped, hence the postage costs. I'm not a dealer, this has sat in my loft for years! I've done my best to describe this item accurately and honestly.
